# Karma You earn karma on Wusoup whenever you **contribute to the community** by: - Starting chats - Sending messages - Helping [[Usage/Reputation#Community ratings|rate]] users according to the [[About/Community Standards|community standards]] - Helping [[Reputation#Reporting users|report]] users breaking the [[About/Community Standards#Rules|community rules]] - Helping approve new [[Getting Started/How to Join#By application|applicant members]] - Helping welcome new members - [[Usage/Invites#Giving invites|Inviting]] quality users As you earn karma over time you'll reach new **karma levels**, e.g.: ![[Assets/ss-your-karma.png]] And for each new karma level you reach, you'll earn a **reward**: - **+0.2** [[Usage/Kudos|kudos]] (so +1 full kudo every *5 levels*) - **+0.1** [[Usage/Invites|invites]] (so +1 full invite every *10 levels*) Think of karma as "XP" (experience points) in tabletop or computer or role-playing games. It's there for a bit of fun, and to encourage positive community-minded behaviour. > [!warning] Reward caps > You can't have more than 2 unused kudos or invites at once, so there's an incentive to use them when you have them! ## Karma leaderboard Wusoup's **top 2000 users** by karma are listed on a private leaderboard (high score table), visible only to other users on the list. ## Karma hall of fame #todo This isn't ready yet, sorry.
