# How to Help Wusoup is created and run by [[About/Development Story|1 tired dude]], so any help is definitely very very much appreciated. 🙏 ## Set an example Most fundamentally, you can help Wusoup by **being an excellent human**! If Wusoup's an awesome place, it's because of the awesome people that make up its community. So be exemplary, set an example! Put something meaningful on your profile. Start chats, be friendly, share a warm welcome with folks new to the community. [[Usage/Reputation#When to upvote|Upvote]] users that need some praise. [[Usage/Reputation#When to downvote|Downvote]] users that need some spanking. [[Usage/Reputation#Reporting users|Report]] that sketchy fellow clearly trying to market his NFT. Be the dude/tte that helps **make their community better** little by little. Wusoup's unusual in its ability to reflect the values that its members hold. Everyone has a voice in this. Please use yours, it'll help make/keep the place something special. ## Word of mouth I've got no money for marketing, and (unfortunately) no skill or propensity for marketing. So my strategy is basically this: try make the thing good enough that people will (hopefully) naturally want to talk about it. Efficient? No. Stupid? Probably. But far be it from me to shy away from being stupid. Headlong, I say! Tally ho. Anyway, the point being: if anyone new comes to Wusoup, it's probably via word-of-mouth. So please do consider telling folks about it if you think it's cool. ### Invite friends When invites are enabled, you can also wave an [[Usage/Invites|invite]] in front of someone. This can help them find Wusoup, and may potentially earn you sweet [[Usage/Karma|karma]]. Because while life's not all about the points, why *not* score some points along the way - right? Financial support helps cover my hosting costs, and helps me dedicate more time to running Wusoup and to improving it.
