# Chats The Chats screen shows a list of your active chats on Wusoup! By default these are sorted by **most recent message**: ![[Assets/ss-inbox-by-recent.png]] You can change the **sort order**, show only [[Usage/Pinning|pinned]] chats, or filter by whose turn it is to write: ![[Assets/ss-inbox-controls.png]] ## Removing old chats You generally want to try keep your chats list short, to make it easy to **see the folks you're actively chatting with**. Feel free to **remove chats** that are no longer relevant: ![[Assets/ss-inbox-remove.png]] This isn't the same as [[Usage/Blocking|blocking]]. If you get a new message in a removed chat, the whole chat **will show up** again in your chats list. ## Hidden chats To keep your chats list from becoming overwhelming, Wusoup shows only your last ~30 chats. Older chats without recent activity will be **automatically hidden** by default. You can: 1. Keep interesting chats around by [[Usage/Pinning|pinning]] them 2. [[#Removing old chats|Remove]] old or uninteresting chats 3. Access any chat by using the **email link** included in any new-message notifications for that chat
